causes closest to your heart?
-
How can you make sure they’ll use
your contribution wisely?
This site is intended to make it
easy for you to find the answers to those questions, and more.
Inside you’ll find some basic
information about many of the organizations that serve the Tucson area.
The site also features tips on giving and resources you can use to
better understand how a specific organization operates.
Tragedies, like 9/11 or the
wildfires that raged through Arizona in the Summer of 2002, require
giving that is driven by specific, immediate needs. These needs, while
great, tend to take the focus away from organizations working to address
the needs within our own community.
As a community, the values we hold
dear are those that embrace every aspect of our lives - health,
education, religion, social services, the arts. Every not-for-profit
organization in this community is striving to address those values and
serve their population. The national response to 9/11 in particular
made one fact startlingly clear: people realized that each of us
can personally make a difference in the lives of others. That’s
why Give4Tucson.com was created, to provide a way for us to make a
difference in our community, today.
